No, that table is very misleading and you've misunderstood it. Note the column
headed "width across flats", that's the number you need to use to find the right
size wrench. For example, the head size shown for a 3/8 Whitworth is .710"
which is slightly under 23/32". What the second column is trying to say
(poorly) is that a 7/16 BSF bolt takes the same wrench as a 3/8 BSW. There's a
rather better chart at the bottom of
http://www.britishtool.com/socket.htm

NO. Standard SAE sizes don't fit worth a darn unless you have all the xx/32
sizes (and not real well even then). Using poor fitting wrenches is very apt to
result in rounded fasteners. The good news is that there aren't many BA
fasteners on the car, even fewer with hex heads, so you may be able to "get by"
with just a couple of sizes of adjustable wrenches and some 6 point sockets.

Sorry, I've not kept a list. But I mostly wrote to point out another problem,
many of those funky threads on the TR2/3 are not BSW or even BSF, but rather BA.
Don't know if they still have them, but Paddock Spares in the UK used to sell a
modestly priced set of BA taps and dies.
