I'm about to undertake re-doing my 76 TR6's front and rear suspension and
brakes. I'm a firm believer in tackling things as a complete system and I
plan to do everything at once including springs, shocks, bushings, ball
joints, tie rods, trunnions, brakes including rebuilding all hydraulics,
etc. I will be installing the stiffer performance springs (front and
rear) which will lower the car about 1". I had planned to go with
urethane bushings which I have already purchased. Now at the last moment,
I am debating going with nylatron bushings (trailing arms in the rear and
all bushes in the front). I will probably not be racing the car except
perhaps the occasional autocross but do want it to handle as tightly as a
modern sportscar (or as close as a TR6 can). My fear is that nylatron
may be too harsh but I also don't want the suspension to have any play.
I'm planning to go with the solid aluminum steering rack mounts also which
I'm sure will introduce some vibration. What is the list's collective
opinion on whether urethane or nylatron would be best for me to use? I
would appreciate input from someone who has been down this road.

Thanks for your help.
