My experience on an extended or "used" car warranty was extremely positive.
It was issued by "travellers" and it saved me a tremendous amount of money
on the lemon 95 Windstar my wife drove.

They paid for a "multifunction" stalk switch. N/C
They paid for the front main oil seal when it started leaking. N/C
They paid for a complete top end when the junk ford heads went south the
first time. N/C
They paid for the entire long block with the new junk heads went for the
second time. N/C
They paid to fix the A/C N/C
They paid to fix the silly sliding door contacts that regulary wore out
(2X). N/C
They always paid the Ford dealer his labor for all the above problems and
towing if needed.

They were very very very glad when the warranty ran out, I'm sure.

I'd buy another comprehensive one in a hearbeat on an used car.

That Windstar really soured me on Fords. And, believe it or not, it was a
very well taken care of vehicle. Just a POS from the factory.

Bill
