Hello Listers:

I am currently restoring a TR3A and wishing to paint it Apple Green, the
color of the late 1950's works rally cars. I am having no luck
whatsoever finding the paint mixing codes for a modern one-part urethane
paint by any manufacturer. To summarize my search so far, I have:

Checked every auto paint store in town with the paint codes available in
the Moss catalog: Ditzler 42486, ICI 2920 or 2472, Berger (Ault &
Wiborg) 18353 and GIP GLS 5454, with no success.

Referred to the archives of this list where there was considerable
discussion about the Apple Green Triumph color in the late 1990's which
led me to try PPG #42486. It seems that color can't be coded either
locally, or through the PPG color library which I reached through a
1-800 number.

So at this stage I'm stuck and would be very grateful for any
information that can be used by one of the modern paint suppliers to mix
"Apple Green"

Many Thanks, Cam Russell
