The weather for LBC's has been here in the California wine country for weeks
and weeks now. Sun's been shinin', fish been jumpin', the cotton is high,
cows in the pasture, sheep on the hillsides, wine and brew cold, no tourists
in motor homes yet to speak of slowing up the flow on the Coast Highway or
the two lane mountain roads...you get the picture.

The Tr-6's new engine purrs, leaks no oil (honest injun kemo sab'e!). Paint
(along with my elbows and wrists) has been subjected to a three part
MCGuires treatment and gleams signal red to the azure sky, CD deck in and
loaded, with rock and roll and jazz, carpets shampoed, vinyl and rubber
Armor All'ed and Back to Blacked.

Only...one thing (well 2 actually) missing form this summertime
dream....Bloody SEATS! Can you imagine the frustration?? One glitch after
another. Broken support wires for the seat back bolsters...locate
appropriate replacement wire with sufficient tensile strength in L.A. have
it shipped up, form new supports....1.5 weeks. Perfecto!? Not quite!
Stiffeners for the side bolsters missing from leather seat kits.... reorder
new pieces...another 2 weeks. Upholsterer goes on vacation....dos mas weeks.
Checked today...drivers seat nearing completion, looks good! Maybe, just
maybe this weekend.

It's one thing when the sun don't shine... it's a horse of a different color
when conditions are perfection and the only holdup is not, for a change
mechanical but, something as simple as not sitting on the floor. You know
come to think of it I just may have a low boy folding lawn chair that I
could seat belt myself into. Yeah... thats it... a lawn chair driver... then
I'll be ready for the mid ride picnic too.

All I can say is DITTO......... I put the top down 2 weeks ago, got to drive
it for 2 days and it's been in the garage ever since. I'm getting good at
playing golf in Gore-tex, cutting the grass in drizzle and not sitting on
our brand new sun porch because there's no sun to warm the darn thing up.
Argghhhhhhhh.... I've had it. Let's all move in with Joe Curry in Tucson!
