I don't need research.  I grew up in Minnesota in the fifties and sixties
and "churchkey" certainly was used hereabouts for the bottle-and-can opener
stamped out of heavy steel sheet.

I suppose it may also have applied to other types of bottle openers, but we
seldom saw other types of hand-held openers.  Why buy something that did
only bottles when you could get something which also opened cans?

Weather is gorgeous here in Minnesota.  Hope we are sending you more.  We
made it over for the weekly britcar roundup at the Billabong restaurant in
Bloomington.  Just completed our anti-overheating operation in time for
dinner there.
