Duuuh Don,
        Once upon a  time, in the Olden Days, Beer Cans (and soda 
cans) did NOT have pop tops!!  I know this bit of history is beyond 
the expanse of your lifetime <G>, but there are those of us that  can 
still remember that far back...right... Fred???
