Fred... The AZX1307 (stock style SU pump)
is spec'ed at 2.7 psi, 15 gph
The SU carb itself is spec'ed at 2-3 psi.

So you're setting is spot on.

My reg in my BGT is at 2.5, my Spit and Midget
at 2.

Less might not deliver enough at speed, too much and
you simply blow by the float valves.
