Fellow LisTRs -

It's been awhile since I pestered the list with my inane questions, but that's
because it's been awhile since I've driven my 1974 TR6. Getting the car ready
for Spring, I slow-charged my new (last Fall) battery. After that, the car
started right up. I noticed that some of my exterior lights wouldn't work and,
anyway, also noticed that the 20 amp fuse serving my PURPLE-colored leads was
blown (Dan Masters recommends a 15 amp for this circuit.) I put in a new buss
fuse, AGC 20 amp, and then, as I was looking, watched that one blow. OH-OH,
I've got a short somewhere.

Here is what I noticed. I replaced the existing SFE 20 amp buss fuse with an
AGC 20 amp buss fuse. Is there a difference between a SFE and an AGC fuse? As
the fuse blew, I felt it, caressing it into death as it saved my car's wiring.
The metal end toward the front of the TR6 was hot; the rest of the fuse was
not. It took only 2-3 seconds to blow.

With this limited information, any hints? As I replaced the fuse my car was
turned off and all lights were turned off. Any troubleshooting ideas?

Thanks,
Red Hansen
