Did you by any chance fill the overflow bottle full, with the engine cold ?
It needs to be almost empty when cold, to have room for expansion.

Other possibilities :

1) Radiator is partially blocked internally, such that the water pump can
build enough head against the restriction to blow water past the cap.

2) You have a compression leak into the water jacket, ie a leaking head
gasket or a crack somewhere, that isn't big enough to show up on a
compression check.
