Bill,
I had a glass that a DPO or God knows who tried to repair and had black
gooey stuff all over the channel and glass. I cleaned all the nasty
stuff off and took it to an auto glass shop and they replaced whatever
is supposed to go between the glass and channel and pressed it back in.
It works wonderfully now.
Moral: Some things are better left to those who know what they're doing
because the learning curve is too steep for those who perform the task
infrequently.
In my opinion, this is one of those things.

Hi All,

On the way to the SE VTR, my driver's side window popped out of the
channel. I have not yet taken the door panel off.

However, when I pull the window out of the door, I see there is a black
sticky tape or adhesive on the bottom that, I assume, keeps it in the
channel.

Where can I find that stuff, or is there something from Home Depot that
I can pick up and use?

Thanks,

Bill
