Have to disagree with some of the advice concerning the amount of grease to
put into the hub. Specifications have always been to fill the hub with
grease and fill the cap that goes over the nut. This usually means filling
the casting cavity about 3/4 full. Filling the cup is also an old-timer's
way to regrease the bearing after use. The grease is drawn into the bearing
from the cup. There is a hole in the cup through which excess grease can
squirt like toothpaste.
