FWIW, I bought a set of high performance tappets from BF&E about three
years ago. I had to replace my cam a couple of weeks ago. It was a high
lift cam and it probably just wore out from abuse, but the tappets were as
badly cratered as the lobes.
I bought my new cam (with slightly less lift) from British Parts Northwest
along with a set of nitrided lifters.
