Hi Doug.  My flexible line looks quite old.  I figured it could cause spongy
braking, but I didn't think it would delay the caliper release.  I guess I
could have a couple made up locally.

  What kind of shape are your flexible brake lines in? A collapsing flex line
can cause a caliper to delay release or not release at all. If your flex lines
are very old (original?) like mine were, replacement will often solve the
problem.
