>Yesterday morning I drove my TR6 on about a 45 mile trip to a local show
and everything functioned normally. At the end of the show I hop in my
car for the trip home and the O/D will not engage so I'm seeking the
list's wisdom. Electronics is not a strong point of mine, but my first
thought is to check the fluid level in the tranny-O/D although shifting
appeared normal. I do have a small weep from the drain plug of the O/D,
but it's not large.

Assuming the fluid level is fine, what would be the next few suggestions
to check and how?

The next step is to listen for solenoid activation. With the key in the on
position but the engine not running put the gear shift in 3rd or 4th and
engage and disengage the switch and listen for the solenoid clicking. If
you have an A-type it will be quite distinct but if you have a J-type you
will have to listen closely. If you hear that then the problem is
hydraulic. If you don't hear the solenoid then the problem is electric.

What style overdrive do you have on this car?
