Import parts stores usually sell replacement nylon hoses and have the tool to
install new hoses. The tool consists of a drilled block ( sized so the hose
is clamped but not crushed ) that can be clamped together. Clamp the hose,
put the fitting in a vise, then push the hose on.

It's a good idea to replace the hoses rather than shortening them. Nylon
gets brittle in high temp areas, making a good seal would be a problem. Also
when the hoses age they tend to split on the injector side of the hose.

Hoses are usually sized in millimeters "OD" X "ID" The OD is less critical
and varies from company to company.
