I checked two of them from the parts bin, both seem to be 2BA threads. 
.1850" by 31.75 tpi, with a 47.5 degree thread angle, and rounded crests
and roots ala Whitworth.

I wonder if the Moss unit is a metric approximation ?  I understand
that's a common problem when having parts custom-made overseas ... the
samples are fine, but the production units come with threads "as close
as our lathes could cut".
