Partly correct. The XAS tyre was standard production fit on the
injected TR6 but not the for NA. As there was a substantial
performance difference, though a lesser one on price, the XAS was a
non-chargeable extra on PI models. As the majority of TR's were NA
bound, usually with Goodyear tyres, build details show Michelin tyres
as standard equipment on PI models and options on Stromberged
versions.
