The TR5 sitting outside the Coventry Inn was, as Phillip Barnes suggested,
owned by 'The Guv'ner', Charles Runyan. This was
my second trip to the TRF Summer Party and I again had a good time. This was
the second weekend in a row that I put almost
900 miles on the TR6.
Highlights: TR6s!! Lots of 'em! There were 150 at the Drive In Saturday night
and even more at the show on Sunday.
Autocross - A local club did a fine job with a small
parking lot at the local high school - I won the stock TR6 class!
(my son saw the chalice-like
trophy and asked if it was the Holy Grail of Triumphs)
- A TR6 won FTD! (Congratulations
to Richard Good (of Good Parts fame)).
Drag Racing - John Rossi (of this very list) was the
class winner in his TR6
Lowlights: A TVR owner took his car home in many, many pieces after crashing
HARD at the drag strip on Friday.
