Do you all think that the VTR is still a l-o-n-g way off in the future? I
have a couple of sobering things for you to contemplate if you do.

First, it's only 102 days until the Convention begins (an even 100 days on
Monday). Second, the host hotel (Holiday Inn by the Bay) is now sold-out!
We blocked out 200 rooms for the duration of the event, and they now have
reservations for 202 on Friday the 30th. There are a couple of rooms left
for Wed., Thur. and Sat nights, but you will now have to find somewhere
else to stay on Friday. The good news is that the Radisson (Phone (207)
775-5411) is still has lots of rooms available (we reserved another 100
rooms there).

If you're waiting for the VTR magazine to come out to get your registration
materials, you might want to "mosey on over" to the VTR web site and
download them now. Unfortunately, the publishing schedule for the magazine
won't leave you with much time to get the "early bird" discount, so it's in
your best interest to register early (and often???).

Hint: with so many rooms being taken, there may be a "crunch" for getting
on the boat to go to Peak's Island for lobster on Friday night. We have
chartered the biggest boat that the ferry company has, but we're still
limited to what the Coast Guard says is the maximum. So far, most of the
registrations we have received have signed up for the Lobster Bake. Rumor
has it that Bobsta the Lobsta will be there...
