All this talk recently of wind and chrome windshield finish strips
reminds of a problem I need your help with. Last summer I changed the
windshield rubber seal on my TR4; the old one was in very bad shape.
The new one looks great, but it must be slightly thicker in cross
section. Now I can't get the metal bar, which goes across the front of
the hood, to fix properly into the windshield gutter. If I drive at
more than 50mph, it comes undone.
You'll probably tell me that TRs are designed to be driver with the
hood down anyway, and I agree. Unfortunately my wife doesn't.
Has anyone else come across this problem?
Any advice is welcome...
