I had the same problem with a TR-6 garage queen I bought in Houston and
drove back to Detroit. Drove the car to my insurance agent to take a
picture of and when backing out of the agent's parking lot the brake pedal
went to the floor and I almost punched a large dent into the rear quarter
panel of a Jag sedan. Fortunately it was snowing, there was about 4 in. on
the ground and I was able to grab the emergency brake in the nick of time.
Replaced the master cylinder and all was well.
