In regard to the oily brown surface - was this simply a corrosion protectant such as cosmoline (sp). Cam bearing surface was sized (machined) to fit in my TR-6 engine when I had the machine shop repair a worn cam journal with a Spit cam bearing shell (typical repair proceedure). |
