In the 60s I had a summer job on the assembly line at a transmission
plant.  My part was easy, but the guy next to me fitted circlips using
those "pliers"... 2 of 'em every 3 seconds, 8 hours a night, 5 nights a
week.  This was not someone you wanted to arm-wrestle with.
