I did it again. Another Triumph joins the stable. But, this one is a bit
different from the others, this one has a back seat, and a V-8!
Yup, a '72 MkI Stag rolled off the trailer into the shop on Sunday. All my
very supportive wife could say was "I can't believe you bought a TR that
has paint!" That fact sort of shocked me as well.
The car is very solid, pretty much rust free. Was resprayed a couple of
years ago, it looks great. The reason a car this nice was in my price range
is the wiring harness lost a good portion of it's smoke. The engine
wouldn't run. I wonder if Dan has a Stag wiring diagram around... ;-)
The car has the original 3.0 liter overhead cam V-8, a 4 speed O/D gearbox,
chrome wire wheels, power windows, and air conditioning. It even has a good
radio! I got it running last night, the engine sounds great. I have a long
way to go on this wiring harness, though.
I hope Brad buys something else quick so we can pick on him some more! ;-)
