Hi, all;

Too bad he didn't stick around, then on the other hand it doesn't sound like
he's interested in social contact.....just quick information. Unfortunately,
there is a lot of history and emotion behind these vehicles and it comes along
with the technical stuff.
The first time I saw a GT6+ I was leafing through a Road & Track in a PX in
Phu Bai RVN. I carried that magazine back to our SOG launch site and spent the
rest of the year drooling over that car. I tore the page with the GT6+ on it
out of the magazine so I could take it with me on operations in Laos. Toward
the end of my tour I corresponded with a Triumph dealer who raced Mogs and we
closed the deal while I was in the last month of my tour. This guy went to the
trouble of finding me a car while the factory was on strike and I picked it up
the day after I returned to the states.
I've read a lot of listers stories about their love affairs with Triumphs of
all types and in all kinds of situations. I find that to be as interesting and
uplifting as Dan Masters info on electrical systems or a detailed discussion
of gear ratios. THIS IS A GREAT LIST! And, I am sure the Rootes list is no
different.
