Lonn, I believe your Thai friend is correct. Standard purchased the Triumph mark
in 1945/46. Standard was in turn purchased/assimilated into British Leyland,
which in turn dissolved into The Rover Group, which was ultimately purchased by
BMW. So, using my famed Southern California logic, this makes my TR-6 and his
Standard at minimum a close brothers, fellow LBCs, and, LHCs (Little Hun Cars)
by acquisition. BTW, does anyone in the U.K. have access to bricks from the
former Triumph factory? Best, Dave Stephenson
