Two weekends ago, my TR6 oil gauge feed tube broke at the block.
Being a gauge watcher, I happened to catch the problem before the
idiot light came on, and was able to avoid any engine damage.
And yes, there was plenty of oil spewed in the engine bay.
I believe the line broke because I stressed it while doing an
oil change.
In any case, going now to reconnect the line at the block, I'm
having trouble getting the tube to fit over the connector nozzle
without splitting it. I've tried splaying it, and gentle heat.
Is there some trick to doing this, or do I somehow have the wrong
dimension tube connected to the gauge?
