Noticed that the TR was occasionally cutting out briefly at speed. The
backfire when power came back in indicated spark failure. This morning as I
could'nt start it as I tried to leave home for work. No spark! Deduced
Ignitor failure and reinstalled the points. Fired right up.

The Ignitor has been in almost exactly a year and has had one previouse
failure when the shaft collar came apart. This time it looks like the
module failed, although as I removed the magnet collar this one came apart
in my hands too. I have become addicted to the increased engine efficiency
with the Ignitor and I will replace it. Now...my memory has failed me....I
know someone on the list was selling Ignitors for a much more resonable
cost than the big three.... help!....who is it? Even if replacing the unit
turns out to be an annual maintenance event, the cost I recall is a small
price to pay for the improved engine operation and power. I already miss
it, so quick... contact me whoever you are.
