I agree with Barry S.  I had it happen to me once on my TR3.  The only
difference was that I had to pry the stone shield away from the disk rotor
to get the pebble to drop out.  

It's a pretty nasty squeal, isn't it?   I guess the pebbles in the UK can
scream as loudly as the ones in the USA, when you get them caught in the
right place.
