If not crazy, then certainly underemployed. Is your TR6 so perfect that
there is nothing that actually NEEDS to be done?
It is not clear whether the fan is to cool the engine or blast the
occupants (why not just remove the windscreen). If it is an engine fan and
headlights that need additional wiring, then why not just make up a
subsidiary harness and leave the existing harness alone if there is nothing
wrong with it. Run a big wire, with a separate fuse, up to the front of
the car and install relays to switch the heavy current items on and off.
The existing headlight relay is up near the fuseblock as I recall, but it
or the wiring may not have the capacity to handle high-powered lamps. Use
the existing headlight wiring to drive the new headlight relay. The
existing relay could be left in circuit or bypassed. If there is a
thermo-sensor for the fan, it will be near the radiator and can be wired
straight to the fan relay.
