At first I would say it's a fule thing, but you say it's like starting
with a flat battery.  It could be some electrical component getting hot
when the car is running, and so cooling the car down would help.  Give
the car a quick tune, then check the igintion capacitor which could have
a temperature related fault, the ballest by-pass wiring.  The coil etc. 
Oh and the startermotor which might be getting hot a doing strange
things.
