Hello all,
Does anyone know where to find the Gold/Bronze color used on the early
Spitfire valve covers? What it's called etc.?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Jim - one of the other listers, Ralph Janelli, spent some time finding
a "match" and ISTR that he found a General Motors "bronze" spray paint
of some sort that was pretty damn close. I don't have the specific
info., but if Ralph is still on the list I know he will have it. Try
your local auto parts store for different cans of paint or contact
Eastwood as they carry a lot of different colors (not the early Spit
color exactly but probably something close).

And if all else fails you can use black wrinkle finish like I did for
     a somewhat vintage racer look.
