been there, done that, had a rear outrigger fall off of our 13/60 estate many
years ago, provided us with errrrr, entertaining handling!!!! Actually it
scared the shit outta me and the girlfriend, soon got the hang of steering
into
the arse-end(UK version) swing though when either braking or accelerating!!!
:-)

Basically the only place a Herald tends not to rot is the centre of the bonnet
and boot lid, everywhere else is susceptible :-)

Oh yes Mr. Jackson, of course, the Herald is the ONLY Triumph that rots, none
of the others do. I'm sure everyone knows that. Therefore, I agree with you.
You are quite right, everyone should avoid Heralds like the plauge, and rush
out and invest their hard earned pennies in lovely Spitfires like your yellow
one!
Naturally there is no absolutely NO rot on your Spitfire, just those special
automatic self-lightening panelwork, as supplied by British Leyland in what
year was it again ?

Please stick to Spitfires and leave those rusty old Heralds to enthusiats like
me and Andy to enjoy.
