My brother took his TR 7 to a mechanic in the early 80's... to have ALL
the shocks/etc. (front and rear) replaced with Konis... He paid hard
money. I remember the transaction well, I had gone with my brother to
pick up and drop off his car.

Later, I bought my brother's TR 7... and used it as a daily driver...
(my 4A was in storage)... When I found the front end diving, I
discovered the front was still factory... He had not done a thing.

Since I had become friendly with that mechanic, over the years... (I
always did my own work, but I would buy parts, new and used, from him) I
told him about my find... and he just gave me a little knowing poker
smile.

Cancer took this man a few years later. Karma?
