     I've haven't seen such controversy since the $18000 TR(4?) a while
back. I was a bit sloppy here; in my own mind I had lumped in 4as with
     4s; I know that's sacrilege to a 4 owner and I apologize!
Still, from the responses I got I'm wondering if it isn't one of those
things where Triumph mixed and matched at whim. Maybe Judy used tan
and Fred used black, while Bob nipped out for a Guinness as George
     installed body-coloured.
Others have indeed commented on the 2/3/3a/3b since I posted this!
Anyway, I no longer feel I have to paint mine.
     Regards,
     Jim

James, Sorry, not so for the TR4's. My '64TR4 is CT33118L (build date
May14,'64). It came from the factory with Sandal (tan) colored hoodsticks.
The last TR4 was CT4030x built in Jan.'65, so mine is pretty late in the run.
I'll leave your comments about TR2/3/3A's for others to commnent on. Cheers.

Art Kelly
