Cold air from the eye balls is correct. Trace the hoses back, they connect
before the heater core. Bentley's calls them the "cold air hoses"

Subject: More TR6 blower questions...

Before I was inadvertantly bumped from the list last week, I was asking
about testing the blower motor. Well, I got the blower working, and to my
surprise, it doesn't squeal even a bit!! Heck... it's probably quieter
than the blower in our Toyota!! HOWEVER... As it's connected right now,
it only works in HIGH speed. I know it will work in low as well, because
when I had the switch out I was experimenting with different connection
combos (there are 5 terminals but only 3 wires) and I could get both speeds
to work, but in that configuration the switch would not turn OFF. The way
I've got it connected now is the only way I can do it and still have the
ability to switch the fan ON and OFF. Anyone know the proper connection?
The terminals DO have numbers on them, but 3 of the terminals are assigned
TWO numbers. Go figure.

The next question is regarding the air distribution control... Why can't I
get any HEAT out of the eyeballs at either end of the dash? I can get AIR
out of there, and actually that fan blows quite a bit in HIGH (as long as
the headlights are off!!) I can get warm air coming from the heater flap,
that is, the door at the bottom of the heater assembly, so I know that hot
water is in there and is circulating, and the flap will open and close, but
no matter what, I cannot get any hot air from the eyeballs on the dash. Is
this correct? I think I figured out how to direct hot air to the defroster
vents, but not much comes out there. Can anyone give me any insights here?
How is this whole thing supposed to work?

Thanks much!
