Hi Joe:

The Wedgewood refers to the color of many of the pieces produced by the
Wedgwood pottery firm, founded by Josiah Wedgwood during the late 18th
Century.  Wedgwood Blue is a famous nearly sky blue color which is still
popular today.   BTW, I collect early Wedgwood ceramics which use
transferware patterns.
