I removed the ball joints from my 75 spit by raising the frame high enough
to swing a b.f.h.*
hard enough to pop the things out. Hint: use the separator tool and dont be
afraid to hit it hard.
I backed off the nut to be flush across the surface of the threads and
banged on this surface about 4-5
times. They both came free-along with a lot of the loose rust under the
frame!. Use the tool and whale away.
You arent gonna save the the old ball joints anyway. And, its a good stress
reliever....
