I guess no one mentioned it so I will. The reason the oil (filter)
change is so nasty is that most of us own LHD cars. The cause of the
inconvenient (but reasonably easy if one is patient) access is that the
steering column is not on the side of the car where it was originally
designed!

That said, it is still no reason to cut the body of a vintage car, imho.

        Larry,

        I have made that hole "upgrade" to every TR6 I've owned except
CF56595
        (Craig Stone's car)
        and CF25738.  I thought the Brits just lacked the ability or
motivation
        to put the
        hole there!  ;)  ;)  ;)
