Gentlemen:
I got the insurance for the TR6 from the State Farm agent that handles all
the rest of the insurance for our family home and cars. Their policy is a
"stated value" policy that relies on several appraisals for the value of
the car. I suppose I should get the car re-appraised from time to time to
avoid any surprises. The conditions of the policy allow me to drive the car
to work or the store "occassionally" and limit the mileage to 2500 or so.
The understanding is that folks who pursue this sort of policy are
enthusiasts and will take care of the vehicle beyond the normal neglect we
afford our daily transportation. I pay about $150 a year for full coverage
(liability/collision/comprehensive). This seemed a much better route than
some of the enormously restrictive policies offered by the specialists.
