The window regulator is sold as a complete assembly. What happens to them
is the teeth strip off or the bushings wear out and the gears no longer
mesh. In any case, replacing the whole shebang is not too hard; follow the
directions in the manual. You will find that when you get one side done, it
works so well you'll want to fix the other side. Take a look at the guides
for the glass and replace them at the same time if they need it.
