John,

Theoretically, assuming that all else is functioning properly, the brake
warning light is designed to indicate an imbalance between the front braking
circuit and the rear braking circuit and is activated by the PDWA switch.

The switch is reset by bleeding the brakes and pressing the pedal and
someother vodoo ( I jest and don't exactly remember how to do it ) Time to
get out the Bently and figure out why the light is on as you may have a
hazardous condition.

If after checking the PDWA switch, the light remains on, repost and let us
all get into all of the other possible reasons for this that might have
happened over the years, and that weren't necessarily part of the designed
reason for the light activating (i.e. when the car was new)
