Good Morning,

A follow on and an update. I too need the "weld thru" information. We finished
the rolling chassis this weekend and are on to body work. The frame looks great
sitting there with a coat of shiny black Imron! It's sitting on a set of
American
REAL magnesium "Silverstone" wheels. They were on my first race car. That will
give some of you an idea of how far back the disease goes. :-) The transfer of
GT-6 brackets to the Spitfire body is about to begin. Sandblasting will happen
tomorrow morning, and the welding of floor pans, battery box, rear shock upper
mounts, trailing arm reinforcements, and parking brake pivots can begin. The now
15 year-old (Happy Birthday a few days ago.) is off to a Scout treck to the
Grand
Canyon this weekend but he is working feverishly to drill spot welds and peel
body
metal from the doner car off the aforementioned brackets and widgets. I hope the
lad can see a coat of color on the body before he goes back to school this fall.
It's going to be a difficult semester for him. He'll need all the inspiration he
can get.

What a lucky guy I am!

Keep 'em Running,

Cheers,

Ken Boetzer
