Sure sounds like a master cylinder not returning all the way, either due to
interference with the pedal, lack of free play in the pedal adjustment, or
internal problems with the master cylinder. Probably pedal to cylinder
adjustment, since it's a rebuilt cylinder. Or then again, it could be the
lack of a vent hole that Irv (emanteno) suggested -- when hot, the fluid
expands and could cause this.
