And even the higher price is likely less than you'd pay for an original 
replacement motor.

The other option might be to disassemble the old motor before it trashes 
itself and repair it.  Even the so-called sealed motors will come apart. 
Quite often there are either snap-into-place deformations in each half of 
the housing, and some careful prying can get the thing to come apart 
without damage.  Had to do that on the heater fan motor in my father's 
Dodge--an armature clean-up on the lathe, good grease in the bushes, fix 
the burrs on the brushes and the brush-holders, and it went for another 
eight years until he traded it in.
