Hey All,
I just received my first order from Rimmer Bros this past Friday and I
thought I would let everyone know how things went.
For those who don't remember I was trying to get two Trailing Arm
Repair
Kits for my TR6 Frame, and well as a lower sump gasket kit. Neither of
these things were in stock at TRF after a 4 month wait.
The order was placed on 6/10, and I was told all items were in stock
and
would be shipped that day. On 6/17 I still didn't see any charged placed
against my VISA so I called to make sure the items were shipped. I was
told that they had made an error and they only had one trailing arm kit
in stock when they checked, but not to worry because they were getting in
a new shipment on Friday(6/21). On 6/26 I called again to confirm
shipment, and was told things still hadn't shipped because they just got
the parts today, but things would definitely ship. On 6/28 I called
again and got a UPS shipping number and was able to track my package over
the net.
The package shipped on 6/28 and arrived on 7/5, not bad for regular UPS
service. Upon opening the package I found that the trailing arm members
had rubbed up against the gaskets tiering the lower sump gasket in two
places. I have sent off an e-mail to Rimmer Bros and will report what
their response is.
Overall I'm still happy. The Parts I received look good, and now I
have
a second source the may be able to get me those hard to find/out of stock
parts TRF doesn't have.
The exchange rate seemed to be about $1.50 <-> 1.00lbs, which leaves
Rimmer Bros with very reasonable prices.
