Bruce, you might also check out using waterproof bags, the type river 
rafters use.  I have a TR6 with a rack and purchased a bag of this type 
from REI Equipment.  The things I like about these type of bags are : 
they're waterproof, they are flexible and are easily tied down with 
straps, and you may get lucky and find the right color to match your car. 
 My 6 is red and I found a red bag that matches great.  I've also seen 
these bags advertised in Cabellas, a sporting goods mailorder catalog.
