I don't have any specific documentation on this matter, but I was
talking to afriend locally who has been into Brit Carz since 1948 and was
told that this serves no purpose other than to signify final inspection
after installation, at the Factory.
Sort of make sense. I've never seen it on any un- installed new or
replacement parts
