Hello, there, I have a problem.........

I have a funny scraping/grinding noise coming from my nearside rear
wheel, I have no idea what is causing it, but if anyone can give me
any ideas....., this is what I know/figure so far.

The noise is regular, ie once per revolution of the wheel, therefore
I assume it is not the wheel bearings as is it was then the noise
should be semi-random sqealing noise.

The noise ONLY occurs when the caar is coasting!!, If I either
accelerate or use engine braking, no matter how little, the noise
dissapears completely, normal braking has no effect unless it is
hard.

I have stripped the brake down, tried loosening it, and checked for
obvious signs of rubbing.

The bearings, half shaft, back plate and most of the brake is new as
I snapped a half shaft at christmas.

I HAVE NO BLOODY IDEA WHAT IT IS, AND I HAVE STRIPPED
IT DOWN FIVE TIMES NOW!!!!

Many thanks if anyone can help.
